Sofia's obituary
It is with deep love and remembrance that we honor the life of Sofia de los Santos, who was born on September 30, 1958, in Quezon City, Philippines to her parents, Milagros Fontanilla and Leonardo de los Santos.
Sofia was known for her intelligence, diligence, and remarkable resilience. She carried herself with quiet strength, unwavering positivity, and a deep sense of care for those around her. Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to her family. She never wavered or compromised on any of these traits even amidst her battle against cancer.
Sofia found joy in reading and cooking, often expressing her creativity and love through the meals she prepared. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an enduring optimism that uplifted those fortunate enough to know her. She was cherished not only as a mother, but also as a cousin, niece, friend, and colleague—roles she embraced with kindness and grace.
She is survived by her beloved children, James and Joan, who were the pride and joy of her life.
A memorial service honoring Sofia’s life will be held on February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the family in her memory.
