My condolences to Socorro’s beautiful family,  I just found out this day December 9th, 2022. I’m so grieved by the news of her passing.

This was the first and last time I had met Camille's sister, Schoco, when she performed her hip-hop dance solo at the Hot Monkey Love Cafe that was near SDSU in 2005.

I have a few pictures of her in this album on Facebook, and I know I took a few more of her dancing, but those were lost.

Our deepest condolences to the entire family. We'll always remember Schoco as a confident, independent woman, full of life.
So sorry for your loss, Tiff. I only met your sister a couple of times but she always had a wonderful, happy spirit when I saw her. I pray for your healing heart and that you're able to smile everyday at the good memories you made.
Socorro I don't even know when we started hanging out at De Anza. I feel like you cracked one of your hilarious jokes and I was like ok this kid is cool. We grew closer and in high school I looked forward to seeing you in the mornings. Those days were always tough, but you made them better. People new when we were around or headed there way, your laugh announced your presence. I will always remember you as the fun, caring, spunky friend who helped me feel comfortable to be myself. You had this way about you that empowered other people and lifted their spirits.  I'll never forget one time in high school when we got mad at eachother.  You were being a loving friend and trying to protect me from sketchy people. I didn't want to hear it and us being us it got LOUD. Later the teachers separated us. One of them told me a few days later "yea we had to get you gulls apart because we were afraid socorro was going to whoop you ass (you were so pissed)." I love this story because it really shows what a real friend you were. Years later, you saw me at my lowest, of course you gave me a piece of your mind then we hugged and cried and it changed me forever. You were such a special friend and you will always hold a space in my heart. I know you are cutting a rug up in heaven so I'm not even trippin. I will love you forever Schoco!

I find these words comforting,  perhaps you will, too. Dana S.

'When I go,  do not learn to live without me, just learn to live with my love in a different way.  And if you need to see me, close your eyes or look in the shadow when the sun shines, I'm there. Sit with me in the quiet and you will know that I didn't leave. There is no leaving when a soul is blended with another.  When I go, don't learn to live without me, just learn to look for me in the moments. I will be there.'
