Skylar's obituary
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Skylar Marie Phillips, age 23. Skylar passed away on May 22, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, after a tough battle with a debilitating illness. She is already tremendously missed by surviving members of her family, including her father and mother, Gregg Phillips and Jennifer McNair; her son, Tristian, age 3; Tristian's father, Tres Patterson; her brothers, Matthew McNair, Eric Phillips; a sister, Brittan; her grandparents, Allan & Margaret McNair; nieces, Cierra and Toni; uncles, Andrew, Robert, John; aunt, Stephanie; several cousins, extended family, and close friends. Skylar was greeted in heaven by her great grandparents; she is not alone. Skylar will forever remain in the heart and memory of those she leaves behind.
Skylar was most passionate about being a mother to her son and her smile grew as she enjoyed many special moments with Tristian. Skylar chose to gather the best memories of her own life and share this joy with her son. Skylar carefully built a meaningful foundation for her son, and we will continue this mission in her memory as he grows up.
Skylar had enjoyed travel and adventure with family and friends prior to beginning a family. Skylar had visited multiple US States, and visited family in Canada. This travel included venues and events like the historic toy store, FAO Schwartz, in NYC, baseball games at the Braves Stadium in Atlanta, the Chattanooga Choo Choo, Daytona International Speedway, Sea World, Disney World, and locations in California. She enjoyed music, TV & Movies, video games, driving and listening to music in her car. She liked the beach, shopping, taking pictures, browsing social media, rescuing dogs, keeping pets, baking cakes, coloring and styling her hair, among other things. Skylar belonged to a Fayetteville area Mother's group and participated in the planned activities of this group. Skylar was creative and never backed down when it came to trying new things; she liked to have fun and maintain positive vibes. She had a spirit of freedom and valued independence.
At this time, there is no public service planned; please leave comments, memories, photos here on Everloved.com. Donations are welcome and will be invested in a trust fund for Skylar's son.
