Sing's obituary
We are saddened to announce the passing of Sing Fee "Phillip" Ng, who left us on June 28, 2024. Phillip, as many knew him, was born on July 10, 1934. He was a man of many talents, a dedicated family man, a lover of nature and animals, an old fashioned man with an unforgettable unique personality.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Chan Ng, his daughters Elaine Ng, Kathy Freundlich, and Emain Ng Arndt, and his son Sandy Ng. He was an adored grandfather to Taylor Jade Petterson, Victor Freundlich, (Terry Freundlich), Vincent Ng, Sandy Jr Ng, and Nicholas Ng. Adored his great grandchildren - Gemma, Banks and Sylvia. His spirit continues to thrive through them, and his memory will always be cherished.
Fee had a rich affinity for the flavors of life, a very good cook with a particular preference for seafood, savoring delicacies such as soft shell crab, fish, scallops, oysters, blue crabs, and shrimp. His drink of choice was Hennessey and Remy Martin on special occasions, and he enjoyed coffee daily. He found comfort in his reel to reel tape recordings, working/building his many hi-fi projects. He was also a baseball enthusiast.
His love for RC planes, boats, and helicopters kept his curious spirit alive. An avid hi-fi audio enthusiast. Fee was always fine tuning and perfecting sound clarity with his DIY hi-fi tube amplifiers. His favorite vacation spots were anywhere warm. He loved watching planes take off and land - flying high - a perfect reflection of his sunny disposition.
His soft spot for animals was endearing. He cared deeply for all his fur babies, too many to name, driving his legacy of animal love and nature appreciation. Phillip's favorite color was red, a strong and vibrant hue much like his character. He was known for his humor, a trait that endeared him to everyone he met. Had the most wonderful smile, a beaming wide grin.
The lessons Phillip shared with us were about hard work, ambition, diligence, dedication, loyalty, and a strong will - principles he embodied throughout his life. Known for his mechanical inclination, he could fix anything, no task too big or small for him to tackle, a testament to his determination and resourcefulness.
Phillip's legacy is one of love, hard work, and perseverance. He showed us that there is nothing you cannot achieve if you put your heart into it. His undying devotion to his family, his passion for nature and mechanics, and his vibrant spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. His comical ways and hearty laughter will always be remembered. He will be deeply missed.
