Voni...think of Simon frequently....and of you and the kids...hope you had a good stay in NJ and that you are coping well. Love and hugs!!

Neil

I worked with Simon at ACLU not directly but in IT. I DO remember him; specifically his free spirit, smile, kindness, *intelligence* and just a deep old-fashioned good guy aspect.  Someone you just felt right with from the moment you met him. Genuine. I am truly saddened to hear this. Goodby Simon but never forgotten. Never.

Dear Narvana

Hi this is Michael Baum. I am so very sorry for your loss. I only met Simon a few times but it was so obvious what a great guy and father he was. I know there is nothing anyone can say but if you need anything please let me know.

I met Simon while attending orientation before freshman year at Ithaca. We hung out that whole time and although our friend groups diverged in college, we were always friends. Truly one of the smartest people I have ever met - and a damn good conversationalist. Quick, witty and fun to rap with on any number of subjects.

Peace be with you sir - we'll rendezvous again one day and great conversations will be had. :)

My heart goes out to Vani and the children as they face this immense loss.  I know from Duke and Carolyn what an amazing person Simon was, and how deeply they feel this loss, too.

With sympathy,

Sally Hartman (Duke’s stepmother)

Our daughter meeting Uncle Simon for the first time
We haven't been in touch in many years, but I'm so sorry to hear the news of Simon's passing. Wanted to share a video from those old basement shows before we all grew up too fast.
