Shobha's obituary
Shobha Patel died at 63 years old near her home in South River, NJ on March 30, 2023. She was born in Kapadwanj, Gujurat and was the first daughter of Dr. Lavji Patel and Sonaben Patel. Shobha was married for 43 years to her best friend Dinesh Patel. She obtained her masters degree in Chemistry and for 12 years was a high school chemistry and English teacher who touched the lives of so many children. Shobha and Dinesh came to the United States in 1993 in pursuit of a better life for their children. She worked as a chemist at Old Bridge Chemical for 27 years. Shobha was a kind and inspiring soul who uplifted everyone around her with her pure and giving heart. She was a deeply spiritual person with a strong devotion to god and religion. She loved spending time with family, traveling the world, and helping others. She had dreams to see and do so much more and her family hopes to carry on her legacy on this earth.
Shobha is survived by her mother Sonaben Patel, her father in law Babulal Patel as well as her her devoted husband, Dinesh Patel. In addition she is survived by her beloved children Dr. Apurva Patel, and his wife Anita, and Harsh Patel and his wife Jhalak, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Sarina, Ayan, Armaan and Alia. She was also survived by her loving siblings Parul, Daksha, Falgun, Nehal and Nirvang.
Shobha was predeceased by her father Lavji Patel, her mother in law, Kashiben Patel.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 1-3 PM at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 Route 27 in North Brunswick, NJ. Cremation will follow at the same location.
