Shirley Jean Worley (Thompson) passed away peacefully at her residence on July 10, 2014 in Kissimmee, Florida at the age of 75 years. She was born on October 11th, 1938 in St. Charles, MI to the late William Byron Thompson and Anita Jean Davis (Best). Shirley worked for many years in the food industry as a top-notch cook. In her later years, she created a business from home where she skillfully handcrafted her own unique crocheted rugs and other household items from fabrics. She made it her life's goal to help others who were suffering with addiction problems by providing excellent guidance and support to anyone that needed the help. She is survived by her daughter Dennise Grant (Jeffrey) of Farwell, MI, her sons Kevin Bencheck of Newberry, MI, Leo Gronda of Salem, OR and Lonnie Gronda of Harrison, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren Melanie Mesa (Joel) of Kissimmee, FL, Shealyn Spencer of Farwell, MI, Crystal Galdeen (David) of Holly, MI, Benjamin Banks (Karolina) of The Plains, VA, Justin Bencheck of Texas, Judy Bencheck of Holly, MI, Jordan Roxx of Holly, MI, Sarah Dunham of Lincoln Park, MI, Eric Riggs of Essex Junction, VT, step-grandchildren Brett Spencer (Adrienne) of Apopka, FL, Bart Spencer (Jackie) of Royal Oak, MI, Kevin Grant (Andrea) of Orlando, FL, Erin Grant (Dan) of Lake, MI,. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Timothy Mesa, Ethan Mesa, Chloe Mesa, Mariah Bencheck, MacKenzie Banks, Kailo Banks, Chase Muringer, Amani Galdeen, Bella Galdeen, Riley Bencheck, Max Bencheck, Carlie Bencheck, Hailey Harper, Havanna Harper and step-great-grandchildren Austin Krauziewicz and Taylor Krauziewicz. She was predeceased by her parents William Byron Thompson and Anita Jean Davis, her husband James Worley, son John Patrick Gronda, grandson John Patrick Gronda II, granddaughter Shasta Harper (Elliot) and son-in-law Clare Noel Spencer.
