She is survived by her sister-in-law, Donna L. Witwer Bruno of Benton, Arkansas, her children, Linda (Dave) Grubb of Columbus, Ohio, John Bruce (Diane) Witwer, Jr. of Conway, Arkansas, and Paul (Gina) Witwer of St. Peters, Missouri. She was an amazing artist and writer who attended The Ohio State University and Ohio University Zanesville where she earned her teaching certificate in art and taught art to children in McConnelsville, Ohio. She also served as an apprentice to a sculptor in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Before retiring, Shirley and Bruce traveled the country with their speaking and motivational training company, Witwer & Associates. In retirement Shirley continued to make art, make people laugh, and make friends everywhere she went. She, and her incredible sense of style, will be missed so very much.
The family will have a private celebration of her life. A public celebration will be arranged at the Reynoldsburg Senior Center; we will provide details to those interested as plans are finalized. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you donate to The American Heart Association or the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
