Shirley Irene (Schloss) Platt, 94, passed away on May..26. 2017......... She was from Baltimore, MD and came to Roanoke in 1946 after marrying her late husband, Kenneth, who passed away in 2002. She was a long time member of Temple Emanuel having been very active in the sisterhood over the years and also a member and past president of Pan Philian Club. She is survived by her son Marc (Elaine) and daughter Laurie, two grandchildren, Aimee Platt Russ (Rob) of Atlanta, GA and Hillary Platt Parker (Duane) of Roanoke, five great-grandchildren Colin Russ, Hannah Russ, Lia Russ, Evan Parker, Reid Parker. Graveside services will be held at Temple Emanuel Cemetery at 11 a.m. on...May 30...... In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Abraham L Platt Music Fund at Temple Emanuel.
