Shirley Matthews, 92, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on January 14, 2023.
Shirley was born on September 15, 1930. She is survived by her children, Michael Matthews of Ashville NC, Christine McBride of Baton Rouge LA, Patrick Matthews of Slidell LA and Kathleen Akins of Athens GA. Shirley excelled at ceramics and later in life a passion for creating beautiful colorings of faces. Shirley was predeceased by her husband James Matthews and her son Thomas Gagliano. A special note of gratitude to her caregiver Ms Willa Mae Jones of Slidell. She spent the last two years being not only an amazing caregiver but a trusted friend. Services at graveside to be tentatively held Wednesday January 18, 2023 at 2:00 at Honaker Funeral Home.
