Shirley (Mace) Delk was born on November 9, 1942 to Stanford Berry Mace and Arlene Gilmore in Chicago Illinois.
Shirley moved from Chicago to Edwards Mississippi with her mom, dad, brother (Andrew Mace), and half sister (Mildred Ruth), as a very young child.
She attended elementary school where she was taught General Education by her Aunt (Pattie Rie Mace). As a teenager Shirley attended Utica High School where she became a Majorette and perfected …
