Shirley Bernice Smith gained her angel wings on April 26, 2022 at her home in Lapeer, MI. Shirley was 84 years old.

Shirley's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.
Shirley was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She was a master of painting, an avid crafter and an amazing chef. When Shirley wasn't working or crocheting, she could be found creating all types of arts and crafts. Not a day went by where Shirley didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.

Shirley is survived by her loving children, Tereesa Smith, Tracy Stetson, Brian Wittick and countless friends. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Roger Smith, and sister Margaret Hembree.

Services are still being organized, but will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer on April 30th. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Fisher House Foundation, an organization Shirley cared for.
