Shirley Anne Hines, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and lifelong lover of books, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, in Sacramento, California, at the age of 88.
Shirley was born January 13, 1936, on a farm near Griswold, Iowa, to John and Edna Shultz. She earned her bachelor's degree in English from the University of Iowa in 1957 and went on to complete her master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois …
