James's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Shihhsiung "James" Yang, known to many as James, who departed on April 11, 2026. Born on September 2, 1949, James filled many hearts with joy and left an indelible print on all who had the privilege of knowing him during his life.
James was a beacon of kindness, generosity, and graciousness. He lived his life by these guiding principles, and inspired those around him to do the same. A man of many virtues, he taught by example, and his greatest lesson was to imbibe respect in all personal and professional interactions. His love and teachings will forever echo in the lives of those he left behind.
James leaves behind his cherished wife Emma, daughter Tanya, son-in-law Kevin, son Po, daughter-in-law Esther, and grandchildren Alina, Louis, Luke, Chloe, and Noah, who will continue to remember and celebrate his life. His loss leaves a void that can never be filled but his memory fuels the spirit of love and respect he prioritized during his lifetime.
A burial service for James will take place on April 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. We invite all who knew and loved James to join us as we bid him a final farewell, and lay him to rest.
In addition, a Celebration of Life for James will be held on April 25, 2026 at 3:00 PM in Los Gatos. This gathering will be an occasion to reminisce, and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many with his kindness and grace. His spirit continues to enrich us, and his wisdom guides us, as we remember him and honor his life.
There will be another funeral service to follow this summer in Taiwan. More details to follow.
In this time of loss, we take comfort in knowing that James's legacy lives on within the hearts of those who loved him. May his soul find eternal peace and his memory continue to inspire kindness, generosity, and respect in all of us.
