"Sherry Martyniuk (Swerhun) our cherished mother, wife, and Nana, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024, after a courageous battle with a long illness. While her passing was expected, death's suddenness still brings shock and sadness. We find solace knowing she's now at eternal peace.

Survived by her devoted husband Keith, loving daughters Kelley and Jennifer, cherished grandson Kaine, and siblings Cindy, Deborah, and Billy. Born in Long Lac, Ontario, and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Sherry's life was marked by kindness, thoughtfulness, compassion, and generosity.

Her talents extended to crafting, and baking, to name a few, and her joys were simple: sharing travels with Keith and dear friends, and cherishing moments at Kookanusa Lake, her serene haven.

Respecting Sherry's wishes, there will be no formal service. Her ashes will be scattered in a few of her favorite places, where love and memories reside.

To honor Sherry's legacy, charitable donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta, supporting research and care for those affected by this disease.

We miss her dearly, but Sherry's love, laughter, and spirit will continue to inspire and comfort us.
