Sherry's obituary

Sherry Lee Matson, Age 81 of Corvallis, Passed away on August 19, 2023 at Good Samaritan in Corvallis due to battling cancer. She is now pain free and in Heaven.

Sherry Matson was born on March 30, 1942 in Detroit Michigan to her parents Virginia Fable and Louis Eckstein and she was Baptized as a baby. In her younger years she lived in L.A. California, then moved to Corvallis, Oregon where she spent the remainder of her life. Sherry earned her Adult Highschool diploma at LBCC, and earned a certificate so she was able to work at OSU as a key Punch operator. 

Sherry was a kind hearted, courageous, and strong willed woman. A few of her hobbies were gardening and couponing. She had a big beautiful garden in her back yard that ended up on the front page of better homes and garden magazine. She also loved to coupon and she was so good at it she would leave the store with free stuff and got extra money back. She also was given an award from the American Legion for her donations from her using her coupon skills. 

Sherry got married to Robert martini and had 3 children with him, a son William Martini, a daughter Lora Anderson, and a son Robert Martini. She later had divorced and remarried to Walter Matson, which had three children of his own, Ed Matson, Rod Matson, and Sheila Laursen. Sherry also has many grand children and  great grandchildren. 

Sherry Matson will be forever remembered and may she rest in peace.
