I would like to personally thank everyone who has touched the lives of my family during this time. My mother's life was about giving and passing on to the next generation. I've more than once seen my mom overcome what seemed like insurmountable odds. She did so, not just showing the determination to do so, but did so with poise and grace we so desperately need in today's society.
My mom was given the news in early 2021 that she had stage 4 cancer. For many, this is a life altering diagnosis that affects everyone involved. Mom choose to fight right to the end, and she did so with no desire to give in. Mom did this for her grandkids. She got so much extra time with them, and they in turn got an amazing Gigi that helped to shape who they will all become. We got to see mom enjoy so many things we take for granted, and she cherished every moment. Hard as it is to know she is gone, mom did not loose to cancer, she allowed it to be the reason to take advantage of this amazing ride we call life, and set out to do exactly what she promised us all, and fight. I'm proud of her story, and her battle and I hope her story becomes inspiration to the lives she touched.
