In Loving Memory of Sheri Hughes

Sunrise: January 29th, 1960 – Sunset: April 16, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Sheri Hughes, who was pronounced dead on April 16, 2025. Sheri’s spirit, compassion, and unwavering love for her family, and her community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Sheri is survived by her five children: Darrel Reed, Michael Reed, Ericcka Bergemann, Amberea Robinson, and Eric Hughes (plus her bonus fur baby-Ezekial); and her six grandchildren, who were the lights of her life: Adriana Reed, Darien Reed, Samantha Reed, Chaeli Reed, Anthony Reed, and Nevaeh Ford.

She also leaves behind her three siblings: Wendy Williamson, Bruce Samuelson, and Lee Samuelson, along with numerous nieces and nephews—both by blood and by heart. Sheri had a special way of making people feel like family, and many who were lucky enough to be "adopted" by her along the way carry her memory forward.

Sheri was always a smile, a wave, or a birthday song. She was a fierce advocate for those like her, who struggled with addiction and homelessness.

While her memory comes with many layers of complex feelings, she will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. A private celebration of life will be held with her family in the coming days.
