Shelly's obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shelly Laurelle Coyle on July 3rd 2023. Shelly touched the lives of many with her warmth, love, and compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Born on June 4th 1955 in Vancouver, British Columbia to Robert Denys Russell and Maurine Myra Loy. As the cherished and only girl in the family, Shelly nurtured a special bond with her mother that transcended time and continued to flourish through her adult years. This bond was a cornerstone of her life, shaping her into the remarkable individual we knew her to be. From her earliest days, Shelly displayed a friendly and outgoing nature that captured the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her

Her children were her greatest joy, she poured her heart and soul into providing them with love, guidance, and unwavering support. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family, her home was a sanctuary to many, where love, laughter and open arms awaited anyone who sought comfort. Her house was always open to her children’s friends during the holidays who didn’t have a place to go, she wanted everyone to feel like they had a family that cared about them. Her generous heart knew no bounds when it came to helping others.

Apart from her role as a loving mother, Shelly was a woman of many talents and interests. She found solace in gardening, baking delicious treats and cooking. Shelly always had a way of finding the beauty in things that most people couldn’t see, in recent years she had found her passion in bringing life back into antique furniture and was excited to get started on her new garden and solarium in Raymond.

Shelly's memory will forever be treasured by her beloved spouse David Burnett, her children, Cara (Jason) Rochford, Kevan Coyle (Alina Cox), Shane Coyle (Lesly Fiddler), Katie Coyle (Evan Chaulk), her grandchildren Aaron and Damon Rochford, Bennett and Brixley Chaulk and Cameryn and Magnolia Beyer. As well as her former husband James Coyle (Kelly King) and David's daughters Courtney Beyer and Carly Burnette - Little. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, relatives, and friends, who were blessed to have her in their lives.

Although we mourn her departure, we take comfort in knowing that Shelly's love and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. As we bid her farewell, we celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Shelly Coyle will be held at Century Hall on September 17th 2023 . In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to ARF, a cause close to her heart.

May we continue to carry her love in our hearts as we navigate the journey ahead, forever inspired by her selflessness and unwavering love.
