Shelli was always such a joy! Even from the first time I met her, she was so welcoming. Never met a stranger and took a genuine interest in other’s lives. Her Mom bought a ring for her that me and another friend loved. It was a simple white gold band with diamonds. We both asked if her Mom could get us each one. She did. When it came in, Shelli said to me, if you don’t feel like wearing your big wedding ring, you can always wear this band….easy and simple. Now, I just wear it on my right hand to remember my sweet friend. She will forever be missed!

When I moved into my condo, my lovely young neighbors were Shelli & Sean, who were married a few weeks later.  They quickly became dear friends and then 'family'.  When Sienna was a baby, Shelli asked me for a favor.  "Can Sienna call you Binny?"   Binny is my grandma name, the name my grand-girls call me.  Of course the answer was yes!  It's always touched me deeply that Shelli cared enough and trusted me so much that she included me in the village that surrounds Sienna.  This is a heart memory, one I cherish, along with all the times Sienna will run to me calling Binny!  And I will always be there for her and Sean.

Rest beautiful girl.  You are a warrior and my heart is broken.  I love you.

Hi Shelli,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Though our connection may have begun through Ikebana, the beautiful containers you’ve so thoughtfully shared with us will always remind us of you. Sending you and your family much love and comfort.

  • Beautiful Shelli, I remember the one time I was wearing a skating skirt and it ripped. And I was going nuts, and she calmly went and got me a safety pin and fixed it. All my worries were gone. That's what it was like knowing Shelli. The calmness, stress-free the peace and joy of just being around her was such a blessing. And then the fun, spunky type times. She was truly a absolute Beautiful Person inside and out. I was very lucky to have known her. And always wished to have skated on the team, but it didn't matter she was still a friend to me and definitely and others.

My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to Shelli's family.  I worked with her at CN and she was always a boy to be around.  Lots of great memories and this loss just seems surreal.
Question: When and Where is the Memorial?

I worked with Shelli at Cartoon Network back in the day. I will forever remember her for always being update and with a big beautiful smile that lit up her entire face. God bless her and rest in the knowledge she is now with her Angels. Heaven just got another bright light.🙏🌹🕊️
From the moment we met, I knew we would become friends, I was her hairdresser for the last 9 years. Once in a great while do you meet someone with a beautiful soul. Shellie was one. She was a warrior through all she endured. Heaven has a special place for her. I will miss my dear friend forever. I pray Sean and sienna know how much she was loved.🙏🏼😘
She was one of a kind and will be missed by all! Please count the Overtons in (3). Happy to help any way we can.
She was my rollerskating 🛼 buddy waaaaaay back in the day on the Elizabeth Manor Skating Team. She was a champion through and through. Her brother Ryan used to be my best friend. She always had such kind words for me and my mom on FB and IG over the years. I definitely want to come. Me and 1 other.
I love that sweet girl. 💔 Yes I definitely need to be there.  Myself and possibly 2 more, Lis & Dan (3)
