Shelley Fay Wheaton 1958-2025

Shelley left this world on February 2, 2025 at the young age of 66, after a long battle with kidney disease and diabetes. 
Leaving behind a heart that always saw the best in people. She was a master story teller, (telling only the long version), a loving Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend.
In her teens, Shelley joined the Royal Corps of Canadian Engineers and their marching band, playing the glockenspiel in their parades. 
Shelley was born in Montreal on May 15, 1958 to the late Robert (Bob) Wheaton and the late Barbara Booth Wheaton. After graduating high school, she went to work at Bell Canada there she earned annual awards for not missing a day of work, her work ethic was second to none. 
She moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1981 and worked for TELUS Canada until her retirement.
Shelley loved to knit and crochet and join activities with her family and friends. While living her last months at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Center, she enjoyed going to baking and art classes among other activities.
She absolutely loved spending time with her children and especially looked forward to time with her two Grandsons. 
Shelley is survived by her son Peter Steward (Matt), her daughter Barbara Lenfest-Jameson (Daniel), her grandsons Stanley Lenfest-Jameson (10) and Spencer Lenfest-Jameson (6). She is also survived by her by her sisters, Cheryl (John) and Sharon (AmyBeth) her brothers Steven and Robert as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Shelley’s life on May 17, 2025 in Calgary, Alberta at The Alexandria Center, 922 9Ave SE, Calgary AB T2G 0S4
