Remembering your mama today and holding space in my heart for you all. ❤️❤️❤️Janie

Had many moments remembering Shelley this summer/fall. Visited the peony farm in Homer now owned by Megan, recalling how Shelley loved them! And I go to the Botanical Gardens every season because it was one of her fav spots in her fight with melanoma that brought her joy! Happy Heavenly Birthday my friend, you are missed down here🙏💐

Shelly and I go waaaaay back. She and I live at  APU for awhile but we worked at Providence lab for years. She introduced me to my later husband - Bjarne Holm - with whom I spent 34+ amazing years. He, too, has passed with cancer but my memories are many. Photos of Shelley are also full of wonderful memories of our time in Alaska. I so miss the both of them. Cheers, Robin Holm

Miss you Shelley. I see your photo in front of the Providence outpatient lab every time I go there, and I get to say hello. I think about you so often , and I see your lovely bright smile .

Some moments in time now over…
Some moments in time now over 20 years ago for me. I was looking through a family photo book I made and was enjoying her hand writing and memories of skiing together and a cruise we took. Of course she was talking about the cold and funny ravens. Missing you mama.

On Shelley's birthday in 1977 we went to Deadwood, SD, Saloon #10, and danced to a local band - - -songs like "She's a good-hearted woman in love with a good timin' man" by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.

I think of Shelley every day when I listen to Birdnote on public radio.  I think of her when I finish reading a book or watching  a great program on Masterpiece theater.  Today I will share extra bird seed with our Anchorage winter birds and spend a quiet moment watching the birds with thoughts of your Mother/Shelley. 🤟🏽

I just heard about Shelley.  I worked with her at the Visitor Center in Anchorage.  What a beautiful soul she was.  I so enjoyed the short times we spent with each other.  I had no idea she had melanoma.  I moved from Anchorage for the same reason a couple of years ago.  I wish she had told me....I wish I had told her.  We could have exchanged war stories.  I am so sorry.

We were excited about the one hundred year anniversary of Anchorage and the new Seymour sign and bench.  It's the little things!!
