On Oct, 1st, 2024 Shelley Kay Koerper passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane Washington. She was accompanied in her passing with her son, Mitchell Koerper Brasch and daughter Joanna Koerper May. She is resting now for the first time in a long while and we are grateful that she is finally at peace and reunited with the ones who she loved and have passed before her.

Shelley was born and raised on Spokane Washington and is preceded in death by her father, Marvin “Whitey” Koerper and Bernice Olind Koerper.

She is survived by her son Mitchell Koerper Brasch & his fiance, Jamie Walmsley of Seattle, and her daughter, Joanna Koerper May and her husband, Justin May of Portland OR; sisters Sharlyn & Kent Clawson, Susan & Steven Weldon, Sandra Koerper, and her brother Buck & Cindy Koerper, as well as many fabulous nephews and their families.

Shelley lived her life on her humor and with the multitude of friendships that she forged along the way. To know her was truly to be loved by her. Her incredible wit and ability to make a joke out of almost any situation endeared all to her.

She volunteered her time generously throughout Spokane with a strong love for Spokane River Clean up and feeding those at the Spokane Mission during the holiday seasons.

In true fashion and spirit of celebrating Shelley - we will be hosting a memorial and celebration of life at Das Stein Haus (1812 W Francis Ave, Spokane, WA 99205) from 2 PM - 5 PM on Nov 9th, 2024.

This is to be a joyous occasion! Be bright, be colorful, come with your best stories of Shelley!
