My dear Shell,

Of all the friends I've known and loved

You're at the very top

To try and sum up a lifetime of memories

I might not be able to stop

Your funny sayings and expressions of wit

Have made us all big fans

"Lower Canine Terrace "you say

Most have never heard of that land

I witnessed your grace in so many ways

A friend to all in need

Not a thought for yourself

But a loyal true friend, a loyal true friend indeed

I "thank you" dearest friend

For all the gifts that you gave

You made my life fuller by far

So when I dream at night I'll come visit you dear, come visit you up in the stars

I love you a bushel and a peck a bushel and a peck And........a hug around the neck

Love you, always and forever, Morty

I met Shelley at Shaw Jr. High and went to Rogers with her. After college I drifted away from Spokane and the friends there but Shelley never let me go. Every few years I’d answer the phone, there would  be the sound of smoke exhaled and her wonderful voice saying” well how the fuck are you ?” Followed by that great laugh. To have Shelley as a friend was to be loved. I’ll miss you dearly with love and so many memories.
I met Shelley in the old "band wives" days in the early 1980's and last time I visited her in August of 2024, she was the same old funny, sarcastic & loving Shelley.  Cheers my friend - you are loved and missed by many.  ❤
