Sheldon's obituary

On March 5th our loving father, brother, friend, and cousin, Sheldon Lynn Brown, took his first breath into eternity. Sheldon was a loyal employee for 42 years at Camshaft Machine Co. He was born on July 4, 1957 to George Brown, Jr. and M. Jean Brown. He helped raised 3 beautiful children with the support of his childhood sweetheart Yvonne Thompson whom lived just across the street on Plymouth. Although Sheldon was a quiet soul, he impacted so many people. Humble and dedicated to his children, Sheldon left behind a legacy of work ethic, faith, hope and love. He was a man who loved music, sports and a good conversation. He was a graduate of Parkside High School in 1975. Sheldon never turned down anyone who wanted to have a meaningful conversation. Though his life was short, the conversations continue.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his three childen; Paul (Jami), Eric (Machele), Elise (Rick) and seven grandchildren: Allan, Jeremiah, Emanuel, Amaria, Zaven, Azya, and Zionna. Sheldon is also survived by six siblings, Lawanna, George III, Sheila (his twin sister), Glenn, Warner and Damon. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jean Brown, his nephew, Lamar, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A celebration of Sheldon’s life will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 12:00 noon at Southside Church, 419 E. High Street, Jackson, MI.
