Uncle Sheldon was the dad of three of my funniest, most light-hearted cousins, so of course he had a sense of humor! Leaning on the kitchen counter with all of us in the kitchen watching my grandmothers tiny television, we would crack jokes about who or whatever was on the screen. Those will be some of my all time favorite memories of Jackson. Picking on him, sleepovers with Elise at his house, driving around with that old white and purple minivan, him solving broken hearts by giving us money to go shopping, his laugh, his barbecue—I loved Sheldon and his kindness and I’m so sad to know of his passing. Families can be together forever, I know that to be true. With all of my love, C.
My deepest sympathy to the children and siblings of Sheldon. I too have many memories of our days of hanging out and partying together , he was a lot fun and real laid back. May God comfort and keep you during this time of bereavement.
Mr. Brown was so cool and chill. He had a calming spirit. I remember he would drive Elise and I everywhere, to AAU Track practice in Albion and to KFC to get mashed potato bowls before basketball games. He will truly be missed.
Our family is terribly saddened to learn of Sheldon’s passing. We have heard stories of him often during our weekly visits with Ruby. We know how sad Ruby is for her daughter and grandchildren and we will be lifting you all up in our prayers as you grieve this life and remember all that he gave you during his time on Earth.
My condolence to you and the family. Only God knows why he do what he do so stay strong keep your head up God bless you and have a good day again my condolence to you...😢
I’m not quite sure where to start with this, Sheldon has always been family to me, and I’ll always remember being at home and seeing Sheldon and Yvonne come over in his fly outfits to go out dancing with my aunt and uncle. Sheldon to me was one of the smoothest dudes on the block and could dance, man he could dance. I remember seeing him do this dance, and I didn’t know the name of it at the time but he was so smooth with it, when I seen him do this dance I said to my self, Yup I wanna learn that dance. Later I found out it was called the Bus stop/ Electric slide till this day I still haven’t seen anyone bring it back and dip it down like he did..
Sheldon your contagious smile will be missed. You were always so nice to me, calling me "pretty girl" whenever we saw one another. We had so much fun hanging out as kids during our family visits. Praying for your siblings and your family. May God give them comfort. Love and blessings, your cuzzie Yvette Redd-Tart
