Shelda's obituary

Shelda Phillips, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 27, 2023. She was born on November 27, 1965, to the late Thomas and Betty Rentz. Shelda was a woman of immense warmth and kindness, whose legacy will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

Shelda is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Phillips; her children Mitchell Phillips (Kala); Falon Raybon (Andrew); her brothers, Farron Rentz (Julie), Tony Rentz. Her cherished grandchildren, Elijah, Ezekeial and Micah Raybon, Malakai, Silas, and Isaac Phillips. Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and those she considered her children. She was predeceased by her son, Calvin Rentz; her sister, Deanna Rentz; her best friend, Stephanie Mann and her parents, Thomas and Betty Rentz.

A devout Member of Vega Community Church, Shelda was always eager to serve others and care for her family. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, watching crime investigation and cooking shows, and playing games such as Scrabble and Phase 10. Her favorite foods were soul and seafood, and her favorite color was purple.

Shelda's bubbly and witty personality brought joy and laughter to those around her, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and wisdom that has touched countless lives. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
