Sheila's obituary

Sheila Lynn Morgan
January 5, 1953 – September 27, 2025

The world grew brighter on January 5, 1953, when Sheila Lynn Morgan was born in Brownwood, Texas. On September 27, 2025, after a brave and graceful battle with cancer, she left this world at the age of 72, carrying with her the same love and light she gave so freely during her life.

Sheila was joy in its purest form. She was quick to laugh, eager to dance, and never afraid to try something new. She filled her home with warmth and her hands with collections of chickens, photographs, and memories she gathered like treasures. She adored all sports, especially her Texas teams, and she showed up to every gathering with open arms and, more often than not, a veggie tray.

For over 45 years, Sheila poured her heart into her work with FEMA, where her kindness and determination touched countless lives. But her greatest devotion was always her family. She placed them high on a pedestal, loving her three children, Sam, Emily, and Sarah, with a fierce and endless love. She celebrated her two grandchildren, Rowen and Arlo, with the same joy and pride. To them and everyone who knew her, she was more than a mother, more than a friend. She was a gift.

Sheila’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eternal Optimist, 7801 S I-35, Suite 101, Corinth, Texas 76210. We will gather to share stories, laughter, and love, just as she would have wanted.
