Sheila Marie McGuire, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, passed away peacefully in El Dorado Hills, CA on January 27, 2026, at the age of 87.

Sheila was born on February 14, 1938, in Minneapolis–St. Paul, Minnesota, as Sheila Marie Kennedy. She lived a life defined by devotion to family, quiet strength, and enduring love. Over the years, her life’s journey took her to North Carolina, Louisiana, California, Utah, and Arizona, where she built a lifetime of memories and friendships.

Sheila shared nearly 65 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, James McGuire — a partnership built on commitment to family, laughter, and deep companionship.

Sheila was a loving and proud mother to her three children, Kathleen, Mike, and Brian. She warmly welcomed her son-in-law, Jeff Maus, and her daughter-in-law, Tina McGuire, into the family. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. She took special delight in being Mimi to her grandchildren Cooper and Zach, and loving the family dogs, moments that brought her immense happiness and comfort.

Sheila is also survived by her brother, Tom Kennedy, and her sister, Kathleen Kennedy.

Sheila will be remembered for her caring heart, her steady presence, and the love and devotion she had for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of her life will be held on February 14, 2026 in El Dorado Hills, CA, on what would have been her 88th birthday.
