I’m just now hearing about this and devastated. For the short time I knew her she felt more like a mom to me than my own. I’ll never forget the travel bug she put in me by taking me on my first cruise and getting to know Vincent, Shanon and Melika.  Smooth travels and I hope you’re on to your next adventure. My heart hurts that circumstances tore me away from you and your awesome family. Much love and respect!

My dear Lika Pooh and family.  The memories are just too many to recount.  I loved your Mom like my own.  She was the one who got me interested in baking.  A mean pound cake and her banana pudding was bar none.  I remember going to Disney World and all the fun we had way, way back in the day.  Please know we are with you.  Our prayers are with you.   "Soon we will see. It's guaranteed."

Melika,  You not only lost a Dear .Mom; but your best friend and Confidant too. I will miss her smile and love to see her dance. We have a lot of people to welcome back in the paradise. My condolence to you and your famil.

We where saddened to hear about our friends passing. We shared many good times together with her and husband Ray. Please except this small piece of love. We will miss her wonderful smile and friendship.

We are truly saddened to hear of the passing of our longtime family friend. Ironically, today my husband and I celebrate 53 years of marriage and it was Sheila who brought us together as the bride and groom in a “mock wedding” fundraiser that she sponsored. Undoubtedly, Calvin and I might never have met under other circumstances. 

We remember Sheila for her intelligence, strength of conviction, and graceful  presence as a “ strong black woman” who fearlessly  set goals and never allowed herself to be discouraged from pursuing her beliefs. Our sincere condolences to her family as she will be remembered with love and gratitude by all whose lives she touched.
