Shawna Lee “Shayy” Brossett

Shawna Lee Brossett, lovingly known as “Shayy,” passed away on September 2, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 27. Born on August 3, 1998, in Mobile, Alabama, Shawna made her home in Mobile, where she was cherished by all who knew her.

Shawna was a talented, funny, and kind soul whose laughter and smile could light up any room. She adored her family and friends, especially her three beloved daughters, who were the center of her world. A gifted artist, she loved to express herself through her drawings and had a special place in her heart for animals. Her big heart and generous spirit made her someone everyone could count on.

She is survived by her mother, Juanita Utter; her father, Mikel Brossett; her brother, David Brossett; her sister, Chylie Brossett; and her three precious daughters. Shawna’s life was full of love, creativity, and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
