Shawn Alexander Sinay, 51, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on June 2, 2023. He was born on June 17, 1971, in Shawnee, Kansas, to Drena Turner and the late James Sinay.

Shawn was a loving son, brother, father, husband, and friend. Shawn was survived by his fiance, Liz Romine, his two sons, Brent Sinay and Austin Silva, his stepdaughter, Gracie Romine, his mother, Drena Turner, his stepmother, Judith Sinay, his sisters, Troie Lemire (Gus), Holli Sinay, Crystle Turner (Chris) and Melinda Sampson (Mike). He was preceded in death by his father, James Sinay.

Shawn proudly served his country in the US Army, where he developed a strong sense of duty, discipline, and respect. His military associations were a significant part of his life and helped shape him into the person he was.

Shawn will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his humor, and his love for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A private family service will be held in his honor.
