I stumbled across the news and felt a deep sadness. Shawn and Staci I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words to help. He loves you both very deeply. He had a spirit about him that was rare and brilliant. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with him and get to know him.

Shawn and I were close. He meant so very, much to me and still does. He is my son and I his mom. I'm so grateful. Don't get me wrong he would drive me crazy. That's what kids do! Just the same for ,e driving him crazy because "what do moms know" lol. It wasn't perfect.  It was just real. He is forever part of my heart and soul.

This is the poem I wrote for Shawn for hi celebration of life.

In dreams, I see your smile so bright

A beacon in the darkest night

Your laughter echoes in my mind

A bittersweet reminder of what's left behind

The world may move on, but I remain

Frozen in grief, unable to gain

The strength to let go, to heal

The wound that cuts so deep and real

Your presence still lingers in the air

A whispered memory, beyond compare

I search for you in every face

A hope that's futile, a chase

In dreams, I see your shining light

A guiding star, a beacon bright

A reminder that you're still with me

A comfort that I cling to, wild and free

But alas, the morning sun does rise

And with it, the pain that I disguise

The loss that gnaws at my heart's core

A grief that I can never ignore
