Shawn was a person that left a lasting impression. I always enjoyed partnering with him at work as he was extremely reliable, responsive, wanted to help, and had a great attitude. He was really on a great path and I was always rooting for him. He will sorely be missed and my thoughts and prayers of comfort go to his entire family.

I’m so grateful to have worked with Shawn these past 3 and a half years. He always went above and beyond for Sanaz and I, we are completely heartbroken. There will never be anyone like him, he was truly one of a kind! My prayers are with his wife and baby girl. He will be missed greatly! 💖😢

I only met Shawn a couple of times, but he was a really nice and down-to-earth guy.  Shawn left an impression on me.  I am truly sorry to hear this news.

I’m so sorry to hear this. My prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time. Shawn spent so much time here at my house with our son & our family that I considered him one of my own. My heart truly aches, prayers. 🙏🙏🙏

Shawn was briefly my internal and helped me build my practice. Several of my advisors still speak about the great person he was. He will be remembered and missed.

Megan, I know it's been ages since I've seen you and Shawn, but wanted to let you know I have such fond memories of meeting and hanging out with you guys at the McCabe's. I will never forget the kindness and genuineness that you and Shawn always shared. Even though we didn't cross paths often, you both always made me feel so valued and included. I know it's already been said, but Shawn was just such a fun spirit to be around, his happiness and laugh was truly contagious.  Little Rosie is truly a lucky little girl to be the best of both of you. Sending lots of love and light to you and your families.

Our hearts are you with you Megan. We have never met Shawn, but our son and daughter-in-law (Brent and Kaitlyn Schmid) have shared what a top notch guy he was. Your little daughter will be so loved and you will see Shawn in her every day. 💖

I've worked with Shawn at Equitable over the last few years on multiple cases. He was always so helpful, knowledgeable, and truly had a passion for helping advisors like myself. Not only has the company lost a good person, but also an extremely valuable member which allows our life operations run so smoothly. There will never be another Shawn Mitcham. 

My deepest condolences to his wife and family.

My dear friend Shawn,

I’m still in complete disbelief over what’s happened. You were such a beautiful soul and contributed so much to my journey. You were always there when I needed you, willing to drop everything just to show up for me. I was reading your last email while you were boarding your flight, still making sure I had everything I needed. The world has lost an incredible human being, and heaven has gained an angel. Sending love, light, and prayers to Megan and your little princess on the way. Rest in peace, Shawn. You will never be forgotten 💔🙏🏻
