Shawn Lamar Matthews, 61, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Hospice of Wichita Falls with his wife, Carrie, by his side. Shawn was born October 9, 1961 in Vernon, TX to Wayne Matthews and Oma Carpenter. He grew up in Electra, TX and many knew him from hanging out in his parent’s bar, Red’s Place-later known as Wayne’s.
