Shawn Conner 54 of Phoenix, AZ was unexpectedly shot and killed on October 1, 2021. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Shawn was born on August 16, 1967 to Wendell and Sheri Conner. He grew up in Glendora, California and he loved his family. In the last few years he had turned his life around. He had been working a great job, was recently appointed House Manager at his sober living house and he was surrounded by great people. He had a wonderful girlfriend who unfortunately, was tragically taken at the same time. Shawn was most honored and proud that they had went on a road trip together and she was able to meet his mother. Shawn loved his friends and family more than anything. His most treasured gifts or items were always pictures. He was proud to recently become an ordained minister and was honored to officiate his best friends wedding. His friends in Arizona would describe him as someone you could count on, protective, funny, loud, and best known to air guitar while talking. He is predeceased by his father Wendell Conner. His is survived by his mother Sheri Conner, his sister Christina Newton, his nieces Heyleigh Strempel, Jesikah Newton and Ashlynn Newton and other aunts, uncles and cousins. Shawn's life was taken way too soon and though he will be missed forever, it is also a great comfort knowing that he was surrounded by great friends, he was extremely happy, and he was living his best life to the fullest.
