Sharran's obituary
Sharran Parks, an exceptional woman and a beacon of love, warmth, and compassion, was born on February 1, 1948. She finished her earthly journey on August 23, 2023, leaving a legacy of strength and selflessness.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Beverly (Chris) Carver, and her caring brother, Larry (Vickie) Cobb. Her love was also extended to her beloved grandchildren, Raecheal (Jonathan) Willman, Billy (Amber) Miller, Sean Begley, Brittney (Jake) Webber, Katrina (Brice) Moak, and Christiana (Jamy) Carver and her loving Great Grandchildren, Isaiah Willman, Dakota Willman, Christopher Miller, Joshua Webber, Emerson Guerra Moore, Nevaeh Webber, Christian Corley, Brice Moak Jr., Riley Miller, Ruthann Webber, Zoe Moak, and Annella Branch.
Sharran was predeceased by her husband, Robert Parks, her cherished brother, Johnnie "Billy” Cobb Jr., her loving parents, Johnnie and Kathryn Cobb and two Great Grandchildren Kaleigh Miller and Kolton Corley.
Sharran had an affinity for life’s simplest pleasures. Her favorite foods were Barbeque and Fried Chicken, accompanied by either Iced Tea, White Zinfandel, or Pepsi. A lover of music, she was fond of Motown classics, Johnny Mathis, Barry Manilow, and Gloria Gainer.
Her evenings were often spent enjoying TV shows like Golden Girls, Rachel Ray, and Dancing with the Stars. A love for performances was evident in her affection for Hallmark Movies, classic movies, and Musicals. However, her favorite pastime was spending quality time with her family and lifelong friends.
The color blue held a special charm for her, reflecting her calm and serene personality.
Sharran was a woman of admirable character. To her, the best lessons in life were to be independent, strong, honest, and to help others. She embodied these values and passed them on to her family. Her proudest accomplishments were her loving family members, who will continue to treasure her lessons and keep her memory alive.
As we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman, we celebrate a life well-lived. Sharran Parks leaves behind not just a legacy of familial love but also a testament to a life brimming with kindness, generosity, and staunch resilience.
