Sharon Yvette Vaughn, 56, of Caledonia NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 5th, 2023, after a brief battle with pneumonia.

Sharon Vaughn was born on July 6th, 1966, to parents Mozie Mae Broyld Washpun and Linwood Rayford Elliott Sr, in Alton Illinois. She went on to graduate with her Associate’s Degree from Excelsior College and was often on the Dean’s List. She was also a lifelong caregiver, working in the medical field as a certified nursing assistant, phlebotomist, and home health aide.

Mom may have had some struggles but lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed crocheting, watching movies, and cooking for those she loved.

Our Mother immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Her smile lit up every room and we will miss her laugh. She was the type of woman who could walk into a room and befriend anyone right away. She was feisty, boisterous, goofy, and always wanted to help anyone in need.

Sharon is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her daughters My-Thuy (Kaleesi) Vaughn and Suezan Vaughn, and Grandchildren Nora, Cecilia, and Ezra Richards

The wake will be held from 10-11 and the funeral service will be held in honor at 11:00 am on January 16th, 2023, at Metropolitan Funeral Chapels 109 West Avenue Rochester, NY 14611.
