Sharon's obituary
Sharon Diane (Maltby) Schissler was called home on Monday, July 8, 2024.
Born on January 20, 1947 to Roy and Lucille Maltby, in Chicago, Illinois. As a child, Sharon's family moved around due to Roy’s work, but they eventually settled in Escondido.
She attended Escondido High School and eventually married Thomas "Tom" Schissler on February 19, 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tom and Sharon had two children, Steve and Heather, and raised them in Escondido. Sharon was a wonderful wife, a great mother, a loving grandmother and devoted herself to her family. She loved to cook and spending holidays with her family.
She worked as a waitress for over 40 years, most of her time spent at Filippi's Pizza Grotto and TGI's restaurant in Escondido. She was loved by all of her regular customers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lucille Maltby; and her husband Tom.
She is survived by her brother Broox; children, Steve (Jennifer) and Heather (Bradd); and six grandchildren.
