Sharon's obituary
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we inform everyone of the passing of Sharon Pagano, a selfless, hard-working, and passionate woman, who was born on February 3, 1957. A lady of unwavering love and dedication, her legacy will forever be rooted in the unbreakable bonds she formed and her tireless devotion to her family.
A product of Kenmore West Senior High School, Buffalo, NY, Sharon graduated in the class of 1975 with a love for journalism and poetry. Her tenacity and hard work ultimately forged a path of success that would lead her to being the only woman manual lathe and CNC machinist at both shops she worked for. Always an independent woman, she stood her ground, busted butt, and exceeded every expectation asked of her. She even worked on intricate parts that were used for NASA.
In 1985, she entered into marriage, her life taking on new meaning on February 7, 1987, upon the birth of her only child. The joy of motherhood brought a deeper sense of purpose to Sharon’s life, one that she embraced with open arms and a full heart her entire life. She is survived by her son, Erik Audare, who will forever remember his mother as a beacon of strength, pure love and exhaustive support. She was a single mother from the time Erik was 5, and she made sure her child never went without. What little they had, they shared together in thankfulness and it made all the difference in both of their lives. They had their difficult times, as all parent/child relationships have - but it was an unwavering love between them that lasted into adulthood. They always had each others' backs through the good and bad, relishing each other's company. She was a caregiver for both of her parents, who predeceased her, and Erik was hers during the past few years of her life. They took care of one another without question or demand, and saying goodbye was the hardest anyone can face.
Sharon has taught us many valuable lessons, including the importance of giving without expecting anything in return. This simple yet powerful ethos left a lasting impact on those lucky enough to know her, and it will undoubtedly continue to inspire and guide us in our daily lives.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up to help with final expenses. Contributions can be made at https://everloved.com/life-of…. Your kindness and generosity during this difficult time are greatly appreciated, but absolutely not expected.
Sharon's life was a testament to her timeless dedication to family, the strong bonds she forged, and her unwavering love. She leaves a void that can truly never be filled, yet her spirit will live on through the lessons she taught us and the love she shared. May her memory forever be a blessing, once the grief of losing her far too soon has passed.
Look for her in the form of black and white butterflies. Unique and rare, just like her.
We'll meet again soon in whatever comes after, Gumby.
