Sharon Marie Padgett (née Singleton), age 68, passed away on March 27, 2025, in Crystal River, Florida. Born on September 2, 1956, in Cohoes, New York. Daughter of Edmond Singleton and Joan (Touzin). She is married to the late Marvin Padgett.She was predeceased by her parents and twin sisters kim and Tammy Singleton.Sharon brought light and warmth to every place she called home.
Sharon’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with compassion, generosity, and an unwavering zest for life. She loved meeting new people and had a natural gift for making others feel seen and valued. Her outgoing spirit and infectious energy made her the heart of every gathering. Whether among family or strangers soon to become friends, Sharon ensured everyone felt included and cherished.
She was deeply devoted to helping others—always giving without expecting anything in return. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her presence left a lasting impression on all who encountered her. Sharon had a remarkable ability to lift spirits and bring joy wherever she went. She lived fully and freely, embracing each moment with enthusiasm and grace.
Sharon is lovingly remembered by her children: daughter Sarah Garrison, son Andrew LaForest, and daughter Kelly LaForest. She also leaves behind her brother Ted Singleton and sister Paula Singleton. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Tara Byrd, Dakota Seeley, Devon St. Denis, and Jamin LaForest.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lil Shark Park, located at 192 2nd Street in Cedar Key, Florida (32625). In accordance with her wishes, some of her ashes will be spread in water—a place she loved deeply.
