Sharon McAlister, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 18, 2024, in Murray, Utah.

Born on May 17, 1938, Sharon married Charles James McAlister in 1964. She dedicated many years to nurturing and caring for children in her home, where she was affectionately known as “Mom Sharon.” Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Sharon found great joy in spending time with friends and family, often gathering over lunch to share laughter and stories. She also enjoyed adding to her cherished collection of dolls and teddy bears, hobbies that brought her much happiness throughout the years.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Tina; grandchildren Colby (Ashlee) and Audreyana; and great-grandchildren Gracie (8), Olivia (6), Dawson (5), and Markie (3). Sharon also leaves behind many close friends whom she considered family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Jim, and her son-in-law Wayne.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on her heavenly birthday, May 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Torgerson Residence, 604 E 1480 N, Tooele, UT 84074.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
