Sharon's obituary
Sharon Harmon, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 18, 2023. Born on February 12, 1946, to Hermann Wittman and Arliene Vanwinkle, Sharon lived a life guided by love, generosity, and unwavering faith.
In 1962, Sharon married the love of her life, Bob Harmon. The bond they shared was the foundation for the nurturing family they built together. Although Bob passed before Sharon, their legacy lives on in their children and grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her children, Brenda, Robert, and Dawn Harmon, who will remember their mother as a shining example of love and kindness. She was the pillar of strength that held the family together, always selfless and caring, giving wholeheartedly without expecting anything in return.
She was a doting grandmother to Bell, Kimberlie, Jessica, and Mercedes. She adored them all, and each one of them held a special place in her heart. Sharon’s most prized processions were her great grand children Lizzette, Alex, Branndon, Ezekiel, Liam, Ivy, Claire, AJ, Jazzy, Mikey, Kiley, and Conner.
Sharon was preceded in death by her grandson Jessie John and no doubt they are reunited in heavenly peace.
Sharon’s sister, Vurla Wittman, survives her and will remember her not only as a sister but as a lifelong friend.
Sharon was a dedicated attendee at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, where she found solace and community. She had a voice like an angel and loved to sing hymns, bringing joy to everyone who had the pleasure of hearing her sing.
Above all, Sharon’s greatest accomplishment was her family, they were her heart and joy. Her kindness, generosity, loving and caring personality will continue to influence and inspire her family and all those who knew her. She’ll be greatly missed by her family, friends, and brethren.
Sharon’s life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of faith. Her lessons and values will continue to guide her loved ones. Rest in peace, Sharon Harmon, your memory will forever be cherished.
