Sharon's obituary
Sharon had many passions in life though above all were her family and her love of horses. As a teenager she cleaned stables to help pay for the horse she bought at 16. She had a sixth sense with horses, intuitively reading their mannerisms and became a very good rider. In high school she won many riding competitions and after graduation she moved to San Luis Rey Downs to break horses for track racing with hopes to become a jockey.
Ultimately she settled in Orange County and worked as a dental assistant. There she met and married Rex Harker and had two children, Michelle Nash and Shawn Harker. They made their home in Dana Point, California where she taught her children her passion for horses and to simply enjoy life. In her free time Sharon loved to sing, dance, and travel - going to Mexico, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and on Cruises with her family.
Unfortunately, at the age of 40 Sharon developed schizophrenia. This mental illness overcame her world and her happy way of life. However her persistence and love for her family continued as she made a constant effort to ensure her children were safe and taken care of. When her daughter Michelle had a child, Ben, she quickly added him to the top of her list. Sharon loved being a grandmother and mother and she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Her family is happy that she is now able to rest peacefully and watch over them from above, sitting next to her dad.
