Sharon's obituary

Sharon T. Gregory (Tootie) – 5/10/63- 8/17/23

Sharon Tucker Gregory (Tootie), 60, of Harlem, Georgia passed away Tuesday morning, October 17, 2023.

Sharon started her battle with cancer at 29 years old. She would survive breast cancer, only to have a lifelong reoccurrence with ovarian cancer. She never let the cancer slow her down. Sharon was a wife, a mother, an aunt, a sister, a mawmaw, and a beloved friend to anyone she met. She would give without hesitation and offered love to anyone in need. She loved her family most of all. She was a kind, caring, compassionate, giving, loving woman that will be missed by many.

She found her passion in becoming a master cosmetologist and had a career at Jamie’s Beauty Shop, where she loved being able to work alongside her niece, Jamie Parker. She loved her clients as family, loved her job immensely and mourned when the cancer treatments affected her so badly that she had to stop working. She loved working in the yard, planting flowers, getting her grandkids every weekend, antiquing, cooking, studying her bible, going to the mountains and beach, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Even through great loss and suffering, she maintained her love for Jehovah and was happily baptized in November 2022. Sharon was a member of the Kingdom Hall, West Hills Congregation and the love she had for her brothers and sisters shone brightly.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents: Romie Lewis and Mary Hardy Tucker, her sister and brother-in-law: Bonnie and Glenn Wilson, her brothers: Romie Lamar and David Perry Tucker, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Marion T. and Dorothy W. Gregory, and brother-in-law: Jonathan T. Gregory.

She is survived by her husband: Christopher K. Gregory, children: Andrew/Pede (Brandy) and Rosalynn/Sissy, and grandchildren: Aiden, Natalie, and Callie, her sisters in law: Ann Tucker, Lisa (Vinny) Cooper and Tara Bailey, Wende (Matt) Harig, Nicole and Emily Brown, Debbie Vinson Graham, and Heidi (Nel) Hernadez and Jeni Lerch Gonnella, her loving nieces and nephews: Glenn (Jane) Gabi, Luke and Jack Wilson, Rhonda (Jerry) Blevins, Brandi (Rob), Tucker and Sawyer Lewis, Justin (Heather), Jenna, and Hadley Blevins, Tiffany, Nathan, Natalie, William, Allison, and Gunner Blevins, Jamie (Elwood) Parker, Hannah and Haley Love, Marsha (James), Austin, and Maggie Chriswell, Wendy (Brandon), Courtney and Bailey Brisco, David Jr/DT, Kristen, Savannah, Ashley, and Little David Tucker and her sweet dog Greenlee.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall 5587 Wrightsboro Road at 2pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023, with Tim Starrett speaking.

1 Corinthians 16:14: Let everything you do be done with love.
