I just heard about Sharon’s passing and am so very sorry. Sharon and her family were good friends of ours in Litchfield MN. We had many good times in their home and even went camping with them once - quite the experience! Sharon introduced us to the game of Pit - we never forgot that night - and she gave me tips on baking chocolate chip cookies. I remember them being active with their church youth group. It was always Sharon and Bill….always together. Sharon shared her musical talent at our church after my husband got his first pastorate and we left Litchfield. Life took our families in different directions - Sharon and Bill to Arizona and us eventually to St Paul. They stopped by to see us when they came to Minnesota after her brother passed away. My husband also passed away after that, but he was so thankful to have had the opportunity to visit in person with them again. To Bill, Tim, Troy and the rest of the family, we send our love and will be praying for you during your time of loss. Sharon was a wonderful wife, mom and friend.
My grandma was one tough cookie. She never settled for anything she didn’t deserve or anything her family deserved. She loved her family and music fiercely. She taught her grandchildren to dream big and believe in ourselves and if we were struggling, she was there with a pep talk to tell us “if you can dream it you can do it.” She is where my love of Disney and Broadway stemmed from and from that love came my dream to work in theatre. I owe some of my career to her. I have learned so much from her and I will never forget those lessons.
