On the evening of December 18th, 2022 Sharon Genette Foley, passed away at home in Westland, MI after a brief but difficult battle with cancer. Sharon was 64 years old.

Sharon was born in Garden City, MI on January 30th, 1958. She was the youngest child of Clara Nell and Donald Dalton Robinson. 

Sharon attended Bentley High School in Livonia before she went on to earn her GED. Sharon worked hard her entire life and eventually retired from Farmington Public Schools as the head custodian at O.E. Dunckel Middle School. 

Sharon enjoyed decorative painting and really any kind of arts and crafts, gardening, spending every moment she could with her grandchildren, baking & cooking, and shopping. 

Sharon was a lover of all animals and has had pets most of her life. 

Above all else Sharon was a selfless caregiver. She was the primary caregiver for many loved ones over the years.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Donald Robinson, Clara Dethloff, and her sister Jonelle Emery.

Sharon is survived by her son Joseph Foley, her Daughter Jacqueline (Neal) Malega, her grandchildren Brandon Foley, Ashley Malega, Alyssa Malega, Quinn Foley, and Clara Malega, and her sister Cynthia Ferguson.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Sharon on Sunday January 15th, 2023 from 1-7pm at the VFW located at 6440 N. Hix Rd, Westland MI 48185.

The family would also like to thank each and every person that gave time, money, dinner, prayers, and gave in so many other ways. Please know you made a world of difference and it is very much appreciated.
