Sharon Lynn Block, 80, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, after a courageous four-year battle with stage 4 cancer. Born on August 1, 1945, Sharon was a beloved wife to Dick Block, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage filled with love and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her son, Dan Block, and daughter-in-law Jennifer, and a doting grandmother to Jason and Jamie Block, Wyatt and Bayley Owens, Jessica DiLoreto and her husband Mike. She was also a great grandmother to Sophia and Emmett (Jessica and Mikes children). Sharon is also survived by her sister, Gail Block, and her brother, Doug Mitchell, and their families.

For many years, Sharon worked as a counseling secretary for the Oak Grove School District in San Jose, where her compassion and dedication touched the lives of students, staff, and families. Even through her illness, she faced each day with grace, strength, and an unshakable love for those around her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
