Sharon Renee Blazer, 68, of Yorktown, passed away peacefully at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, on September 30, 2022. She was born on July 17,1954, to the late Robert and Hilda Davis, and was raised in the Carys Chapel Road Community of Yorktown. Sharon grew up surrounded by her entire family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. She graduated from York High School where she created lasting friendships with many of her school mates. She was able to attend her 50th class reunion in June 2022. Sharon was a fun-loving person who was full of joy, loved to travel the world, play golf, and come “home” to visit her extended family. She was dedicated to her career, and a strong connector of people in the business world and personal life. Sharon was a devoted mother to her only son, Justin Blazer, and settled in Orlando to be near him. Her love and strength was felt by all that came into contact with her and was an inspiration to so many. Sharon is survived by her devoted son, Justin Blazer, (Tarcila Zaffani Blazer) of Orlando, FL, special G’ daughter, Gabriela Gallo, of Orlando, FL, aunt, Carolyn Watson, of Newport News, VA, and many close family members. Sharon was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Hilda Davis, and her special G’dog, Snowie. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 12 noon on October 22, 2022, at Cary’s Baptist Church, 1615 Cary’s Chapel Road, Yorktown, VA. A short casting ceremony will be held following the service at Rodgers A. Smith Landing, 707 Tide Mill Road, Yorktown, VA. There will also be a celebration of life held in her memory in Orlando, FL, on October 30, 2022, at Embassy Suites Downtown Orlando. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where a memorial has been set up in her name. Arrangements by W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.
