Sharon was as close as a sister to me. I have a picture of us together as two year olds. We have been
friends since then. Our kids grew up together. I moved from the Valley in 1969, but we still saw each other and talked on the phone at least twice a week. I will always miss my good friend Sharon.

Sharon was always such a beautiful sweet lady!! I will always remember her and Shirley's visits to the Ranch. Especially the year we all got flooded in and Mother and Sharon decided to go horseback riding and ended up going for a swim. She will be greatly missed, but always remembered. My deepest condolences to Jackie and all the girls and a special "I love you" to Shirley!!!

MEMORIES OF SHARON. . .
From the earliest of our years, grade school – high school and into our adult lives, Sharon has been important in our lives. Our parents and families had long standing friendships in the 1940’s-50’s Holtville life. Our friendship from school and First Christian Church era (and our youth group) built a bridge for us later as adults. As we matured we shared our love for the desert, and friendship in our travels and adventures as Desert Diners. Our summer activities always included a meeting on the Oregon coast and time together. Sharon’s health battles were always faced with the ambition and vigor as a true warrior and her outlook was so positive while accepting the reality of real life. Her love of life was truly reflected in her family and those closest to her. Sharon was an excellent homemaker, and cook – she could always be counted on to provide us with extra deserts on our adventures. From the grilled Portabella (personally selected) mushroom sandwich to the berry cobbler her products coming from the kitchen reflected her love and friendship. Jackie, and your girls & families have truly had the opportunity to be blessed by the presence of an Angel who has now graduated to the presence of God Almighty. Yes we will all miss her, but she is now in a better place free from the pain of this world.

Your mom, Sharon, was one of my BFFs growing up. My memories of sleepovers at her house, horseback riding, church youth group (my dad was the church pastor at the time), summer camps, and first crushes are some of the best of my life. My husband and I spent the weekend with Sharon and Jackie as we came to celebrate our 10th HS graduation and had a great time! We moved from Holtville when I was 15, but I'll always think of your mom as "the girl I most wanted to be like". Patti (Patsy) Williams Pierce

💔 Dear Jackie & Girls,
Your wife and mother was such a gentle soul. She had such a good heart. I will always remember her laugh. It always made me feel so happy to see her enjoying the crazy things that every day situations offered. I always enjoyed being around her.
She loved Jackie and was so proud of her girls. You girls are her legacy and your goodness is a true reflection of just how special she was.
Sending you all love, peace and prayers.
